Below are pictures and a little background on our  Executive Council

R. Thomas Buffenbarger, International President

First  IAM leadership post in 1970 General Electric jet
engine group LL912, Evendale, Ohio.  1977 Business
Rep for IAM District 34 Cincinnati.  1980 IAM Special
Rep for Great Lakes Territory, 1983 Administrative
Assistant to GVP for that territory.  1986 came it IAM
Headquarters to work in Organizing Dept, 1988 was
appointed Exec Assistant to International President,
serving under Presidents William Winpisinger and
George Kourpias.  1991 to 1997 served as IAM GVP
at Headquarters, as chief of staff to all Headquarters.
Elected to International President 1997.

 Warren L. Mart General Secretary Treasurer

First joined the IAM in 1966 as a member of
LL1900 where he was hired on at Arkla Air
Conditioning, Indiana.  Served local as an
IAM Shop Steward as well as President, he
transferred to LL1955 which became
LL2186 and then LL153.  1980 elected to
Directing Business Rep of IAM District
Lodge 153, Indiana, served on Mayor's
Labor Advisory Board, United Way of
Southwestern Indiana, 1988 elected as Vice
President of Indiana State, served as Vice
President of Southern Indiana Central Labor
Council, and Secretary-Treasurer and Pres
of the Indiana State Council of Machinists.
1987 appointed as Special Representative
, Grand Lodge Representative in 1989.  In
1997 elected as GVP and assigned to IAM
programs and activities in the union's
Eastern Territory, headquartered in Ohio.
August 2003 elected as IAM General
Secretary-Treasurer.

Dave Ritchie, General Vice President - Canada

Joined IAM LL1755, Toronto in 1973 after being hired as an electric meter repairman at Sangamo
Electric., Chief Steward, Shop Committee Chair-
person, Vice President and Negotiating Committee
Chair, V President of the Ontario Provincial Council
of Machinists, Founding member of the Canadian
machinists Council, Business Representative for
District 78, Toronto in 1978, Directing Business
Representative of District 78 in 1986.  In 1995 he
became IAM Vice President.  Brother Ritchie is a
member of IAM LL235, Toronto.

Richard Michalski, GVP Headquarters

1986 IAM LL1916 worked as a welder
at General Electric, Milwaukee serving
on several positions in lodge including
steward, chairman of bargaining com-
mittee and president.  Volunteered many
hours campaiging for candidates on
worker's issues.  Democratic committeeman
for 12 years, elected delegate to 1980 and
1984 Democratic National Conventions.
Became IAM Director of Legislative and
Political Action Dept in 1992.  Director of
Political Action for the Machinists Non-
Partisan Political League (MNPL).  On
June 1, 2006 joined the ranks of the IAM's
Executive Board as GVP in charge of IAM
Headquarters.
